Susan Silke Obituary
Susan Silke, 97, formerly of 34 Liberty St., Auburn, passed away January
12, 2018 at The Commons on St. Anthony Street.
Born in Auburn, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Maria (Kimack) Wasilenko.
Susan was a life long resident of Auburn and member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church.
She was a gentle quiet woman, and a wonderful and caring mother and grandmother who cherished time with her family.
She is survived by her two sons Daniel Silke and Kevin ( Kathy Tuft) Silke, a brother Alex Wasilenko , two grandchildren James (Heather) and Joseph Silke and by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Susan was predeceased by her husband Robert (Bud) Silke in 1997,
and by nine brothers and sisters.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, January 17 from 4-6pm at Langham Funeral Home, LLC, 75 E. Genesee St., Auburn.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 9:30am at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 30 Cross St., Auburn.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make contributions to Hospice of the Finger Lakes, 1130 Corporate Dr., Auburn in memory of Susan.
