Shirley L. Friedman

Shirley L. Friedman, 93, formerly of Clymer St. and The Boyle Center, Auburn, died October 8, 2018 at Northwoods Rehab and Nursing Center in Moravia.
Born and raised in Syracuse, she was the daughter of the late Julius and Ann Kodish Spevak.
Shirley was employed for many years as a secretary at Syracuse University.
She and her late husband Sam, owned and operated Advance Window Cleaning Company.
In her youth, she enjoyed dancing, and in recent years, bingo and visiting local casinos.
Shirley loved animals , especially dogs, and more fondly, her poodle, Kokie.
She was an avid SU fan, particuraly
SU basketball.
She was a former member of the Congregation B'nai Isreal.
She is survived by her son, David F. Friedman and his wife Jean Wiseman and their children Jacob and Addison and by her twin sister Marilyn Nelson.
Private graveside services will be held in Fort Hill Cemetery, Auburn.
Contributions in Shirley's memory may be made to the Finger Lakes SPCA of CNY, 41 York St., Auburn.
