AUBURN | Mary Lou Stanton, 81, of 40 Walnut St., Auburn, passed away May 9, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.
She leaves behind her husband of 62 years, Martin R. Stanton.
"Mary Lou was the kindest, most generous, loyal, and truthful person I ever had the privilege to know, with the only complaint that our time together was not long enough."
She was the mother of five children, Gregory (Amy), Jeanne, David, Jeffrey (Dana), and James (Ilene); her beloved grandchildren, Rachel Stanton (Jason), Kimberly Hunt (Dan), Christopher Stanton, Melissa Bodnar, Kristen Stanton, and Jennifer Bodnar; one great-granddaughter, Stella Hunt.
She also leaves her sister, Nancy Prosser (Al); multiple nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her mother, Louise Adams; father, Howard Adams; brother, Jack Adams, and sister, Jean Leone.
Calling hours will be from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, May 12 at Langham Funeral Home LLC, 75 E. Genesee St., Auburn, with services to follow at 11:15 a.m. in St. Alphonsus Church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Joseph's School, 84 E. Genesee St., Auburn, NY 13021.
