Lois Riley Obituary

Lois V. Riley, 92, of 45 French Ave., Auburn, passed away, Friday, May 15, 2015 at Auburn Community Hospital.
Born in Auburn, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Amy Gunn Vibbert.
Lois was a 1941 East High School graduate and had a passion for swimming for most of her life.
She taught swimming (Certified WSI) for ten years at the Auburn YMCA to fourth graders from the
Auburn City School District.
She was a member of the Owasco Yacht Club for
50 years where she was caretaker for the flowers for many of those years.
Lois enjoyed painting and in her earlier years and was a student of Professor Long and Harold Walker.
She enjoyed music of all kinds,
playing the organ in her past time, and dancing with her husband
Lois was a member of St. Peter & John Episcopal Church.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, F. Eugene "Gene" Riley, who retired April 1, 1986 as Manager of Purchasing for Bristol Myers Squibb in Syracuse; two children Craig E. Riley (Debra) of Danbury, CT, Mark K Riley (Susie) of Arlington, VA and by a sister Betty Hart of Owlshead, NY, 4 grandchildren Christopher Riley, Tracy Roksvold, Collin and Meagan Riley and 2 great grandchildren Riley and Patrick Roksvold.
Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews and her special companion, her dog, Sophia.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her five sisters.
A Calling hour for those to visit the family will be Tuesday, May 19, 2015
from 1:30-2:30
at Langham Funeral Home, LLC, Genesee St., Auburn with services to follow at 2:30PM.
Burial will be in Soule Cemetery.
