OBITUARY
Lillian M. Marsden age 101, died peacefully on Friday, March 17th 2017 at The Commons in Auburn, NY. A lifelong resident of Baptist Corners, Town of Owasco, she previously resided at The Bluefield Manor in Auburn, NY for 17 years.
Lillian was predeceased by her loving husband of 64 years, Harold E. Marsden in 2000 and daughter, Elane S. Hollenbeck in 2005. She was predeceased by her parents, Lewis and Ada Flesher and siblings, Ethel Densley, Iva Moore and Lewis Flesher. She is survived by her children, daughters Joyce VanArsdale (d. David VanArsdale), Diane (Robert) LeFevre of Auburn, NY. Sons, Don Marsden (d. Greta Marsden) of Mason, OH and Mark (Amy) Marsden of Skaneateles, NY. ten grandchildren, twelve
great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Lillian grew up and lived at Baptist Corners, Town of Owasco throughout her 64 years of marriage to her loving husband, Harold E. Marsden. Both attended the Baptist Corners one room schoolhouse. Together, they raised five wonderful children that attended the Skaneateles Central School District.
She was a loving and beautiful wife, devoted mother, grandmother and friend. She was an incredible homemaker, cook, and kept an impeccable home. She supported her husband with his electrical and plumbing business for many years. Together, they enjoyed traveling and to many places throughout the world.
Lillian was a faith filled woman who was loved and gave love. She adored her church community at the United Church of Auburn and was a longtime member. She was a member of the Auburn Home Bureau. She was an avid reader, gardener, loved birds and in her later years, especially enjoyed following SU basketball, golf and politics.
Known for her sweet disposition and loving smile, she will be dearly missed and remembered by all who knew her. There will be no calling hours and services will be private. The family would like to acknowledge the superior care and consideration given to her at The Commons, Auburn, NY.
