June Woleslagle Obituary

June Theo Parker Woleslagle, 1541 Clark Street Rd., formerly of
Southfield Apts. and East Lake Rd. passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Auburn Community Hospital.
Born in West Concord, Massachusetts she was the daughter of the late Harry C. and Rose Campbell Parker. Graduating from the Concord High School in 1940, she married Ellis G Woleslagle on May 30, 1942 and started their married life in Waverly, NY. Shortly Ellis was called to war and June returned to Concord, MA and worked as a switch board operator for the Middlesex Mutual Insurance Company. June and Ellis moved to Auburn where June worked as a switch board operator for the VanVlack & Gamba Bakery.
June was a volunteer for the American Red Cross, the Calvary Food Pantry and Auburn Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the First Methodist Church and a member of Skaneateles, Aurelius and Sennett Seniors. She was an avid NASCAR fan, traveler and reader. In her later years she enjoyed out of state bus trips with seniors from all around.
June was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Ellis G. Woleslagle in
2001, brothers Kenneth Ernest Parker in 1988 and Alden Whipple Parker in 1996. She is survived by her children, Kenneth of Deltona FL., Junell
(David ) Nixon of Warrenton, NC and Lyle (Jennifer) of Liverpool, 6 grandchildren, Crystal, Jenny, Nathan, Shawn, Connor and Kara and 4 great grandchildren, Wyatt, Parker, Blake and Ashby and by several nieces and nephews, and special nieces Beth Parker and Suzan Parker.
Friends are invited to visit from 11 am to noon on Saturday, February 7 with funeral services to follow at 12: 15 pm at Langham Funeral Home, 75 E. Genesee Street, Auburn, NY. Burial will be in Soule Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Matthew House in memory of June.
