Joyce L. Burpee

Joyce L. Burpee, 79, of Ridge Rd., Union Springs, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at her home. Born in Hormell, NY she was the daughter of the late Louis and Fannie Vanderhoef.
She was a member and director of social services for the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Auburn.
Joyce enjoyed gardening, bird watching and the great outdoors, as well as reading and playing the piano.

Surviving are her five children, Yvonne, Roland (Gail Evans), Norman, Loretta and Timothy Burpee; a brother Johnny Vanderhoef; her twin sisters Mary Lou Conable and Marilyn Gardner; 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Donald Burpee and brother Gerald Vanderhoef.   

There are no calling hours. A memorial service will be held Friday May 22 at 10AM at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 56 Prospect St., Auburn.
Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Springport.
