John F. Bouck, age 84, of Auburn, NY, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on March 10, 2026. Born on April 18, 1941, in Auburn, NY, John was the son of Frederick and Mary Bouck. John spent much of his life in real estate as Founder and Owner of Bouck Real Estate. When John obtained his license, he was the youngest real estate broker in New York State. In addition, he was an adjunct professor at Cayuga Community College for over 13 years, teaching real estate.
John was a licensed commercial pilot and FAA Certified Flight Instructor, having flown many medical patients as a volunteer for Angel Flight. John loved to explore the world. Together with his wife, Connie, they traveled extensively and were very fortunate to have visited all seven continents.
Many people in the Auburn community also knew John from his radio program “The WMBO Forum”. Each evening he entertained listeners with his often-controversial talk show, spending an hour taking calls from the local community and discussing current events and local politics. Anyone who knew John knew he was full of life and humor. Whether he was on the air or sitting around the dinner table, no one ever had to wonder what was on his mind - he was never shy about sharing it. While John had many hobbies and built a successful business, his greatest source of happiness was spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Constance Bouck; his children, Jennifer (Federico) Solmi of Chappaqua, NY; Terri Clay Bouck of Ventura, CA; and David (Eva) Bouck of Prague, Czech Republic. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Luca and Sofia Solmi; John (Antonia Jaramillo) and Jessica Clay; and Elizabeth, Alexander, David, and Andrew Bouck. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Frederick Bouck, and his siblings, Robert Bouck and Judith DiVietro.
A memorial service to celebrate John’s life will be held on March 16, 2026 at 10 am at Skaneateles United Methodist Church, 26 Jordan St., Skaneateles, NY, followed by a private burial at Lake View Cemetery.
