Jeffrey Scott

AUBURN | Jeffrey Scott, 59, beloved father, son, brother and friend, passed away unexpectedly May 8, 2025.

Jeff was born in Cayuga, NY, the son of Richard Scott and Audrey Cook McPherson.  He grew up in Cayuga and graduated from Union Springs to which he acquired a couple of life-long friends.  Jeff spent much of his adult life in the surrounding Finger Lakes area.  He graduated with a degree in Social Work and was passionate about offering counseling, sharing his life lessons and helping others.

Jeff had an incredible sense of humor and loved to laugh.  He loved to read, golf and spend time with his son, family and friends.  He was a sports enthusiast and developed a love for woodworking and crafted some amazing pieces he shared as gifts with family and friends.

Jeff is survived by his son, Kevin Scott, his stepmother, Sally Rusinko Scott, and brother, Stephen Scott, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents, Richard Scott and Audrey Cook McPherson, Jeff was predeceased by his beautiful sister, Lori Scott McCadden, and his fur baby and ‘best friend’, Trudy.

Please join us for a graveside burial at Lakeview Cemetery located on Cemetery Lane in Cayuga, NY 13034 at 11 am on Saturday May 31st.  All are welcome.  Celebration of Life to follow.
