Jean Langham Obituary

Jean M. Langham, 71, of West Lake Rd., Auburn passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2017 surrounded with love at the Commons on St. Anthony Street.
Born in Auburn, she was the daughter of the late Charles Frederick and Winifred (Silke) Murray.
Jean was a 1963 graduate of Mt. Carmel High School where she developed many special friendships that lasted throughout her life. Loving to socialize, she enjoyed her monthly "Club" gatherings with her close circle of friends, and looked forward to going to dinner Saturday nights with her husband and friends.
Jean was introduced to John by her brother Fred at the Sunset Restaurant and were married in June of 1966.
The following year, Jean began her career as a full time mother and homemaker.
Being a wife, mother and grandmother was her pride and joy, as she was always taking care of others and very involved in their lives.
She was the number one fan at sporting events, concerts, and made any occasion as special as she could.
Jean loved spending time on Owasco Lake with her family.
She also treasured her time in Naples, Fl with John where she made many wonderful friendships.
Everyone loved to be around Jean.
Her smile and laugh was contagious, her presence always pristine, and of course those beautiful blue eyes that warmed your soul.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, John A. Langham; her twin daughters, Barbie Herbert and her husband Tom, and their children Tommy and Maddie and Beth Burgmaster and her husband Dan, and their children Danielle, Jack, Alex and Ross. Also surviving are her sister-in-law Carol Murray, nieces, Kellie Padgett, Mimi Calogero and Katie Inlow; several cousins and many close friends.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son David J. Langham in February 2016 and her brother Fredrick Murray in April 2014.
Calling hours will be Friday, January 27 from 5-8 pm at Langham Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10AM at St. Alphonsus Church with burial to follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
