Helena Peacock Obituary
Helena Mary (Villiers) Peacock, 81, of Union Springs, NY died Friday, October 21, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Mary (Kowalchuk) Villiers.
Helena was a graduate of
Cortland State Teacher's College where she earned her bachelors and masters degrees.
She
enjoyed a successful career teaching for 35 years in the Seneca Falls and Union Springs School Districts.
She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Douglas C. Peacock; her daughter Mary E. Peacock; a son, Scott D. Peacock and his wife Marianne Dainton; three grandchildren Kristina M. (Jerry) Tompkins, Bradley R. (Cynthia) Calkins and Zachary A. Calkins and two great grandchildren, Aiden R. Calkins and Vesper J. Calkins.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, October 26 from 3-6pm followed by a service at 6pm at Langham Funeral Home, LLC, 75 E. Genesee St., Auburn.
Burial will be in Chestnut Hill Cemetery at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Hospice of the Finger Lakes in Helena's memory.
The family would like to thank the Hospice of the Finger Lakes for the loving care they all received, especially Kathy, Jill and Matthew.
