G. John Wiggins, 88, of Pompano Beach, Fl. and Auburn, N.Y. passed away on March 8, 2026, at The Commons on St. Anthony in Auburn. Born in Auburn, he was the son of the late George (Buster) and Helen Adle Wiggins, owners of the former Pioneer Restaurant. John was a US Army Veteran, serving from 1962-1966. He received his BS in pharmaceuticals from the University of Florida and was licensed as a consultant pharmacist in both Florida and Texas. A long-time resident of Florida, John was employed at the Boca Raton Community Hospital, from which he ultimately retired. For many years, John spent summers in Cayuga County, and he permanently relocated to Auburn in 2014. He volunteered locally for the Hospice of the Finger lakes and at the YMCA, and was a member of the United Church of Auburn and the Carnicelli Indelicato Post 1776.
He is survived by his eldest sister Beverly Wiggins of Smithtown, NY, and by numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, his sisters Jackie Johnson of Auburn and Rosalie H. Iannuzo of Rochester, his brother-in-law James M. Iannuzo, nephew David G. Iannuzo and his niece Deborah Colby.
There are no calling hours or funeral services. Private burial will be in Martville Cemetery in Sterling, NY. Those wishing can make contributions to the Hospice of The Finger lakes in memory of John. Langham Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
