George P. Green

George P. Green, 72, of Fleming, NY,  passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at Auburn Community Hospital.  

Born in Fleming, he was the son of the late Herman and Olga Malysa Green.  He graduated from Auburn High School in 1971 as an alumnus of the first graduating class.  A hardworking man, George spent much of his life behind the wheel, working as a truck driver for various local companies. He took great pride in his work, enjoying the quiet rhythm of the road and the chance to see the country he loved so much.

When he wasn't on the road, George found peace in the soil. A passionate gardener, he especially loved growing pumpkins and tending to his apple orchard, which he planted himself. Each harvest was a source of joy, not just for him but for the many friends and neighbors he shared it with.

George enjoyed traveling. Whether it was winding mountain roads, quiet coastal towns, or vast desert landscapes, George had a deep love for exploring the beauty of our breathtaking country.  

A natural builder and fixer, he had a deep belief in doing things with his own hands. He rarely asked for help before trying it himself — and often, he didn't need to. One of his proudest accomplishments was building his own family home, a true labor of love, constructed alongside his family.

George is survived by his loving partner, Judy Lynn; two sons, Paul Green, Timothy (Melissa) Green and their mother Marsha Green; four grandchildren and one great granddaughter.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Suzanne Green.
