Elsie Sennett Obituary
Elsie I. Sennett, 96, formerly of Auburn, NY and Bradenton, FL, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at Riverside Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Castleton, NY.
Born in Venice, NY on September 26, 1917, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Main Misner.
Elsie graduated from Moravia High School and Auburn Business School.
She was employed by the City of Auburn as a clerk in the Water Department.
She was predeceased by her husband Henry F. Sennett in 1996 after 57 years of marriage.
She is survived by her three children, Patricia (Carlton) Eno of Castleton, NY, Yvonne Kershaw of Asheville, NC, and Robert (Marie) Sennett of La Vergne, TN, and by four grandchildren, Beth and Karen Eno, Kristen (Ed) Swanson, and Derek (Mia) Kershaw, and two great-grandchildren, Audrey and Aidan Walsh.
Elsie was predeceased by her sister Carrie York and her brothers Frank, Howard, and Harold Misner.
The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 9, at Langham Funeral Home, 75 E. Genesee St., Auburn, NY. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Fleming, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Auburn United Methodist Church, 99 South St., Auburn, NY 13021, or to the American Heart Association.
