AUBURN |Else Lago, 76, of 43 Grant St., Auburn passed away Monday, July 7, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born and raised in Wiesbaden, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Friedrich and Pauline Maher Hartmann.
She came to the United States in 1956 and eventually made Auburn her home.
Else enjoyed gardening and had a love for nature and animals.
She is survived and will be missed by her three children, Robert Lago, Frank Lago and Riccarda Jarvis (Michael Youtt Jr.); 4 grandchildren, Shawn Youtt, Kassandra Youtt, Michael Youtt III, and Shannon Jacobs; 6 great grandchildren and by a brother in law Hans Forster.
She will also be missed by her cocker spaniel Patches.
Else was predeceased by her husband Clement Lago, a grand daughter Jennifer Jarvis and by her sisters and brothers abroad.
There are no calling hours.
A private funeral service will be held at Langham Funeral Home, LLC.
Burial in Fort Hill Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family at a later date.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Else's memory to the Regional Oncology Center, 750 E. Adams St., Syracuse, NY 13210 or to the Hospice of the Finger Lakes, 1130 Corporate Dr., Auburn, NY 13021.
