Doris L. Houser

Doris (HALE) Houser, Cookie Grandma 91, passed away on December 21, 2015 at The Commons at St. Anthony St..
Born in Auburn, she was the daughter of the late George and Leona Green Hale.
She was a 1943 Central High School graduate and was employed at the former big Store, Hislops and Argasingers, and The Jr. Shop.
Doris was a communicant of St. Peter & John Episcopal Church and enjoyed baking and cooking and had a love for animals.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be missed by all.
She is survived by her two children, William J. Houser
(Linda) and Bonnie (John) Driscoll; grandchildren, Mark Ratliff, Melinda Gauthier, Renee Tubbert, Kimberly Fredette, William (Laura) Houser, Matthew Houser, Eva, Jason (Brianna) Driscoll and Penny (Gregg) Crowne; a number of great grandchildren, nephews James La May
and William Hale.
Doris was pre-deceased by her husband Joseph Robert Houser and her Grandson Larry Joseph Ratliff.
Calling hours will be December 23, from 4-7 pm at Langham Funeral Home, 75 E. Genesee St., Auburn.
Funeral services will be December 26, at 10 am at the funeral home followed by burial in Soule Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to the Finger Lakes SPCA of CNY , 41 York St., Auburn.
