David Newell Obituary
David E. Newell, 85, formerly of Hazelhurst Ave., Auburn died August 17, 2016 at Huntington Living Center in Waterloo,NY.
Born in Auburn, he was the son of the late Arthur C. and Mary Gertrude Grant Newell. He was a graduate of East High School and was an Amy Veteran serving in Korea during the Korean War.
David was employed as an accountant with Marine Midland Bank and Hislop's Department Store and retired from the Emerson Foundation where he worked from 1974 to 1985 as an accountant, secretary and director.
Following his retirement he later worked at Skaneateles Office Supply.
He is survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, his brothers Bill and Donald Newell, and by sisters Madeline Morhiser, Shirley McGohan and Katherine Heilmann.
There are no calling hours.
David will be buried with his parents in Fort Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Those wishing may make contributions in David's memory to the Arthritis Foundation.
