Betty J. Clancy, 90 passed away peacefully on All Saints Day, November 1, 2017 in Atlanta Georgia.
Betty was born in Auburn NY, the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Brennan Clancy. She was a lifelong resident of Auburn prior to relocating to Atlanta to be near family. Betty was a graduate of St. Alphonsus School and Auburn Central High School. She was employed with GE for 30 years.
Betty was a devout Catholic and communicant of St. Alphonsus Church, where she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society, choir, women's auxiliaries
of the Knights of Columbus and the Alumni Association of St. Alphonsus School.
She was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Buckley and four brothers, Joseph, William, Bernard and Paul.
Surviving are nine nieces and nephews, many great nieces, nephews and cousins.
Betty enjoyed spending time with family especially engaging with the youngest members. She spent many hours making beautiful crafts, handmade candies and baking and sharing her cookies. She was a very talented sewer and quilter.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, November 8 at 10AM
at St. Alphonsus Church
