Anna M. Kuncio, 98, of Dunning Ave., Auburn, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016 at The Commons on St. Anthony Street. Born on August 21, 1917 in Wilkes-Barre, PA she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret Ciprich Rupchis.
Anna was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. The most important thing to her was her family and taking care of and doing things for them.
Anna will be remembered for her piercing blue eyes, her wit, self-deprecating sense of humor and the example she set of living a good life of honesty, integrity and how to unselfishly give of oneself to others. She was fiercely independent and took great pride in her home. Known for having a green thumb, Anna was an avid gardener who grew beautiful flowers, vegetables and herbs. She was an excellent cook who also loved to eat seafood and any kind of chicken, especially wings. Many looked forward to her homemade apple pies, Thanksgiving stuffing, pierogis, baked ziti and soups.
Before retiring she had worked at Firth Carpet Co. and Auburn Plastics.
Anna was a good friend and neighbor to Lucy, Betty, Kathy, Helen and Molly.
She was attended with kindness and generosity by caregivers, Melissa Hunt, Aprile Richart and Taylor Malone.

(Leonard) Evans of Pittsburgh, PA; five grandchildren, Elizabeth Evans, David Evans, Meganne (Logan) Outerbridge, David Kuncio, and Patrick Kuncio and by one great grandchild, Brody Outerbridge.
