Anna Roberta Gravatt,100, of Cayuga,passed away December 6,2017
tn Reading,Pennsylvania. Born in Wooster, Ohio she was the daughter of the late Harry and Mina (Payne) Rice.
The family moved to Union Springs,New York by way of Shunk, Pennsylvania in the Endless
Mountain Region of Pennsylvania. She graduated from Union Springs Academy in 1936.
She was employed
for 35 years in Adventist Health System hospitals as a nurse director
for emergency room, central service,and the pharmacy departments. She served at Paradise Valley Hospital in National City,California;Castle Memorial Hospital in Kauila, Hawaii and Feather River Adventist Hospital in Paradise,California. Mrs. Gravatt retired from Lorna Linda University Medical Center in Lorna Linda,California.
She is survived by her daughter Mina Gravatt; a sister Jennie Lee Herndon; and several grandchildren,great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband William Gravatt,a son Robert Gravatt and by five brothers and sisters - Ruth Chisholm,MaryBelle Rice, Lois Stotler,James Rice,and Payne Rice.
Calling hours will be 12-1pm followed by funeral service at 1pm
on December 15 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church located at 31USA Way in Union Springs. Spring burial will be in Oakridge Cemetery.
